Identification – British Oenanthe, Water-dropworts

The umbellifers provide us with many foods and garnishings – the roots of carrots and parsnips, the 'stalks' of angelica and celery, the leaves of parsley and fennel and the seeds of coriander, caraway, etc. On the other hand, some species, such as Hemlock, Conium maculatum, are very poisonous.
